Obituary
Ida Freece was born in Vermillion Co. Ill, August 26, 1876; died February
12, 1907, aged 30 years, 5 month, and 16 days. When she was four years
of age her parents moved to sumner county, Kansas, living on a farm about
six miles north of Wellington until 1894, when they moved to Kay County,
about six miles southwest of Tonkawa, where she resided until her death.
She was converted and joined the Methodist Episcopal Church at eleven
years of age. When about nine years of age she became an invalid, after
moving to this county, she improved in health for a few years and her
friends hoped that she might fully recover, but again she grew worse and
was a constant sufferer for many years. For months just prior to her death
her sufferings were intense and for weeks her death was expected yet she
expressed herself as being ready for the change. On Thursday afternoon,
February 14, funeral services were held at the home, conducted by Rev.
Geo.W. Irwim, the sermon being Rev. 2 1-4.
