J. P. Ford

Last Sunday afternoon Marion Ford received word of the death of his father, J. P. Ford, that morning of apoplexy and left as soon as possible for their home near Marion, Kansas. No word has been received other than the bare information of his death, so that the particulars are not abtainable at this writing. Mr. Ford formerly lived in this city and was one of our best known and most successful cattle feeders. This spring he moved his family to Marion county, Kans., where he had purchased a fine farm on the Cottonwood river near Marion. The supposition is that Mr. Ford was in the flooded district and that his death resulted from overwork or worry. The many friends of the family here join with us in sympathy and regret.
