In Memorium

The following obituary written by Elder W. S. Rehorn and published in the Oklahoma Christian will be of interest to the many friends and acquaintances formed by Mr. Dobbs during three or four years residence at this place:
Died at her home in Arkansas City, Kan., on Oct. 13, 1899, Mrs. R. C. Dobbs. Sister Dobbs was a true Christian woman, spreading sunshine in her family, in the church and wherever she went. She knew that the time of her departure was at hand and was ready to go and arranged the program for the funeral services, even selecting the chapter that she desired read and the songs she wished sung. She leaves a father husband, one son, one brother, three sisters and a host of friends to mourn this loss. On Sunday, October 15, the body was taken to Oxford Kansas where the funeral services were conducted by the writer. May the bereaved strive to be as well prepared as was she and thus be able to look forward to the grand reunion in the land that is fairer than day.
