G. M. DANIELS DEAD

Our old-time citizen, G. M. Daniel, died at his residence one-half mile south of town Tuesday the 10th and was buried Wednesday afternoon. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church, the Elder, W. S. Cook, officiating. The Odd Fellows, of which order Mr. Daniels was a member, then took charge of the remains and laid them away.
Mr. Daniels was one of the pioneers of Kay county and has an extensive acquaintance, who heartily sympathize with the family in their affliction. The deceased had for some time past been engaged in brick making, and business troubles connected with his work undoubtedly hastened his demise and by the hand of fate been compelled to sacrifice much of his property to meet his obligations. Softening of the brain was the direct cause of his death and he had been afflicted for several weeks prior to his death. He leaves a widow and five children who are entitled to the sympathy of the entire community. Mr. Daniels was about 40 years of age and until very recently was the picture of rugged health and his death is the more deplorable on that account.
