Donald Eugene Cunningham,
3501 North Union, died Wednesday morning, Nov. 23, 1994, at his home.
He was 68.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grace Memorial Chapel with
the Rev. Dr. Evans T. Moseley officiating. Arrangements are under the
direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
Donald Eugene Cunningham was born March 17, 1926, in Ponca City, the son
of Arley and Minnie (Cooper) Cunningham. He grew up and attended schools
in Ponca City. Cunningham entered the U.S. Navy in June 1944, and served
on P.T. Boat Duty in the South Pacific.
He was married to Betty Ann Ferrell on April 26, 1943, at Hale, Mo., and
the couple established their home in Ponca City. After his honorable discharge
in July 1945, he returned to Ponca City and was employed as a truck driver.
Cunningham was of the protestant faith and was a member of the American
Legion and the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include one son, Jack Cunningham of Lawrence, Kan.; one daughter,
Pat Gibson of Ponca City; one brother, Leroy Cunningham of Ogden, Utah;
one sister, Maxine Duroy of Ponca City; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, and his parents.
