Mrs. Eva E. Cox

Mrs. Eva E. Cox, Wife of W. A. Cox, died at her home in this city Tuesday, April 5, 1904, aged 29 years. Mrs. Cox was the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. John Ferguson, of this place. Rev. C. D. Spillman, of the Baptist church, conducted the services which were held today, Thursday, and the interment took place in the Odd Fellows cemetery south of the city. Their many friends join us in extending sympathy to the grief stricken husband and parents.

IN MEMORIAM

Eva Estella, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. John Ferguson, was born January 9, 1875 at Etna, Missouri, and moved from there to Winfield, Kansas where most of her childhood was spent. Later she went with her parents to Carrollton, Mo.; came to Blackwell in March, 1902, where she was married to Mr. W. A. Cox on June 10, 1903, since which time this has been her home. She has long had the Saviour as her friend, but publicly confessed Him during the special meeting in February. She leaves a husband and little son, a father, mother, sister and family who live in Day county, O. T., and one brother in Carrollton, Mo., and a host of relatives who mourn her death. She has gone to join another brother who departed this life May 22, 1901.
