ROBERT CALKINS KILLED.

This morning Mrs. M. Buck, of 615 North First Street received a telegram from the railroad agent at Morris, Kan., stating that the dead body of a man supposed to be Robert Calkins was found on the track near that place this morning. There was a letter in the pocket of his coat from her and the telegram requested information concerning the dead man. Robert Calkins is Mrs. Buck’s son, and a brother, Homer, went up to Morris this morning for the purpose of taking care of the remains.
No particulars of the killing can be learned and the remains will be brought to this city for burial. The dead man was formerly employed in Blackwell and has a brother in this city now working for Ed Gleason.-Arkansas City Traveler Tuesday.
