DEATH OF MRS. BUNTEN

Mrs. J. M. Bunten, died at the family home in the city early Tuesday morning, never having rallied after giving birth to a baby daughter; the little one gasped out its life, with that of the mother, and a more pathetic or distressing event has never occurred in our city. Mrs. Bunten was a member of the Methodist church, and one of the Kensington Club, and both organizations will greatly miss her; she, despite her frail body, was an indefatigable worker, and even during the last month or two when friends feared for her life she was very cheerful and hopeful for the future; she had been troubled from some time with a bronchial or pulmonary affection, but even in her worst hours was never despondent or gloomy but was ever hopeful of the best. The older citizens will remember her as Miss Augusta Bibler, and she was for years an active worker in church, school and society. Her place will not easily be filled, in church or society, and the home and family are even more greatly bereft. The aged father, the heart broken husband, and other members of the family are inconsolable. The funeral was from the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon and despite the rainy weather, hundreds of friends attested their appreciation of the worth of the deceased, by attending the services, and interment. The floral offerings were many, handsome and appropriate, and the casket was covered with the tribute of friends. The regret at the death of Mrs. Bunten is universal, and the husband and other relatives are receiving the sympathy of the many friends.
