Hermann Buesing was born March 27, 1873, near New Rome, Minn. He was the
son of Caroline Warneke and Fred Buesing.
He was baptized and later confirmed at the New Rome Lutheran church in
Kelso township, Sibley county, Minnesota. He also attended school in Sibley
county.
He came to Kay county with his parents and settled on a farm southeast
of Blackwell where he had lived since that time.
He was married to Maggie Miller on May 3, 1934, at New Ulm, Minn. To this
union was born one daughter, Ona.
Mr. Buesing, who had reached the age of 85 years, 6 months and 28 days,
passed away at the Blackwell General hospital at 8:30 p.m., Saturday,
Oct. 25, 1958.
His parents four brothers, Conrad, John, Herman and Edward, and a sister,
Mrs. Emma Kuehn, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Oct. 30, 1958, at the Alfred
Porter residence, Blackwell, with Dr. Harry M. Roark, First Baptist church,
Blackwell, officiating.
He was laid to rest in the Green Lawn Abbey mausoleum at I.O.O.F. cemetery,
Blackwell, with Porter funeral home in charge.
Pallbearers were Roy Selvy, Ellis Overman, Ralph Claybaker, Philip Stone,
W. D. Constant, Charles Constant, Olen Constant and Mrs. Charles Constant.
Survivors are his wife and a daughter, Ona, of the home, a brother, Charles
Buesing, Kaw City, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends also mourn
his death.
