- Brown
Charles
Thos. Brown, son of Mr. And Mrs. W. D. Brown, was born on the 29th day
of January 1897. Died of typhoid fever at their home near Tonkawa, Okla.,
on May 6th 1899. Aged two years three months and eight days.
Funeral services were held at the family residence being conducted by
the writer in the presence of a large assembly of relatives and friends,
after which interment was made in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Blackwell.
We cannot tell who next will fall
Beneath thy chasting rod;
One must be first, oh, may we all
Prepare to meet our God.
Oh how sadly do we miss him,
No earthly tongue can tell;
In heaven we hope to meet him,
For God doeth all things well.
Death has called away thy loved one
In the lonely grave to lie.
Yet his soul is now resting
In that home beyond the sky,
Though afflicted not alone,
Thou did’st give and thou
Hast taken. Blessed Lord
Thy will be done.
W.M. HOOVER, Blackwell, O.T.
