M W Billings is Dead

M. W. Billings died at his home in Tonkawa last Friday of pneumonia, and was buried in the cemetery south of this city Wednesday afternoon of this week, the Masonic bodies officiating. Mr. Billings had been here the Saturday preceding his death, in his usual health and the word of his death came as a shock to his many friends in this city and community. He had complained for a day or two, but his condition was not regarded as serious until Thursday, Mr. Billings at one time resided north of this city, and was one of our most respected citizens, he moved to Tonkawa that the children might have school advantages, but has always valued his many friends here. The funeral was held Wednesday from the Presbyterian church at Tonkawa, and was attended by representatives of the Masonic lodge of this city businessmen farmers and friends, and all who knew him will join with us in sincere sympathy to the bereaved wife and children.
