Wanda Elaine Bennett Wanda Elaine Bennett of Tucson, Ariz., died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006, in Tucson. She was 80. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Grace Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Doug Thatcher, pastor of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Newkirk Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday until 9 p.m. Wanda was born in Webb City on April 16, 1925. She was the daughter of John Clark Fair and Lola L. Duncan Fair. She grew up in country schools northeast of Newkirk and north of Kaw City. She attended high school in Kaw City. After high school she went on to Edmond to receive her college education in teaching. She taught school in Oklahoma and Tucson, Ariz., for many years. On March 18, 1943, she was united in marriage to Mark Bennett in Perry. Mark preceded her in death on April 13, 1998. Wanda is survived by two sons, Brad Bennett and Kim Bennett and his wife Marilyn; a brother, Delbert Fair and his wife Joy; three grandchildren, Brian, Natalie and Jason; two great-grandchildren, Jake and Logan; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Mark, she is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Willard; two sisters, Ada and Iona. Casket bearers will
be Delbert Fair Jr., Kevin Fair, Nathan Fair, Roy Steve Kelley Sr., Roy
Steve Kelley Jr. and Mitchell Honeycutt. |
