Mrs. Henry Beck Dead

Mrs. Henry Beck died this morning at five o’clock at the family home in the southwest part of town. Her death, though expected, was a shock to the many friends throughout the city. Mrs. Beck has been a sufferer for the past five years with paralysis of the lower limbs and while every thing was done that loving hearts willing hands and medical skill could do for the alleviation of her suffering or relief from her affliction it was all in vain and death alone has been the healing balm to the pain racked body.
Mrs. Beck was greatly esteemed in Blackwell and her affliction was always a subject of deep solicitude on the part of her acquaintances. She bore her sufferings with a spirit of Christian fortitude and for such as she there is surely a life of peace and pleasure beyond this. She leaves a husband, three daughters and two small sons.
Funeral services will be conducted at the family home tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock by Rev. Father Yserman of the Catholic church of Ponca City, in which faith the deceased was a consistent believer. Burial will take place in the I.O.O.F. cemetery south of town.
