DEATH OF SERGEANT BAKER

Raymond A. Baker, late sergeant in the U. S. army, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. C. P. Austin, in this city, Saturday, February 15th, after a lingering illness, his mother and sister being with him at the end. Sergeant Baker was stationed at Omaha for some time and while there contracted the “flu,” which developed into pneumonia, and from which he never fully recovered. The funeral was held from the home of Z. A. Harris on East Blackwell avenue, Wednesday afternoon and was attended by soldiers, a platoon from B. H. S. cadets, Elks, Shriners, Masons and a large number of friends of the family.
