OBITUARY

Martha Bacon, daughter of Ira and Mary Bacon, was born near Deiphi, Ind., Jan. 5, 1829, and died at her home in Burden, Kans., Oct. 21, 1907, aged 78 years, 9 months, 16 days. She was united in marriage to Robert F. Burden, Oct. 18, 1853, who preceded her to the better world Feb. 3, 1901. She leaves four daughters and two sons to mourn her loss. Mrs. E. Q. Burden, Mrs. Emma Smith, Mrs. C. A. Cunningham, and Miss Lulu Burden, of this city, Mrs. Mary Spain, Beloit, Kans., and Mr. Charles Burden, of Blackwell, Okla.
Her death removes from our community one of its most helpful, cheerful, kindly members. She was beloved by everyone. The whole community mourns her loss. - Burden Eagle.
