Obituary
Died at his home on the east side of the city, June 21, 1901. William Arrendail, aged 69 years. Father Arrendail was a good citizen and quite neighborly old gentleman. He was born and raised in Johnson county. Tennessee, and served during the war of ‘61 as 2nd Lieutenant it the 13th Tenn. Cavalry. His children, most of them lived with him, who, together with his aged wife, are left to mourn his death. Funeral services were held at the home, Rev. Moore. of the Presbyterian church, officiating. The burial was in the charge of the Masonic Order, of which he was member. A long funeral eortage followed the remains to the cemetery, where was laid to rest all that is mortal of this old patriot. Peace to his ashes.
