Obituary

Glenn Russel Armstrong was born near Wellington, Kansas, May 2nd, 1897, and died October 30th, 1901, in Tonkawa. Besides his father and mother he leaves two little sisters to mourn his loss. He will be greatly missed in the home, being the only boy and the oldest of the children. He was a very bright little fellow and his parents had begun to trust him to do many little errands. Their hearts will go out after him, but there is comfort to known that he has gone to meet his little sister Bessie, who went to the Heavenly land four years ago. He had been sick but a short time and his death was very unexpected. Another wound has been left in their hearts by another call from the family circle by the hand of God who doeth all things well.

A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.
One by one we’ll pass to meet him
On that bright and golden shore
Where surrounded by the faithful
Loved ones meet to part no more.”
