Crystal Wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Russell Durrill celebrated their crystal wedding anniversary at their hospitable home north of the city, last Sunday, March 18. They were assisted in the celebration by a large number of relatives and friends from Blackwell and vicinity. Mrs. M. L. Murphy of Windsor, Mo., mother of Mrs. Durrell; Mrs. S. Durrell, of Sedalia, Mo., mother of Mr. Durrell, and Mrs. Rhodes; S. W. Murphy and wife of Marshall, Okla.; and Miss Lena West, of Fort Wayne, Ind., were the guests from abroad, while those from Blackwell and vicinity were Grandma Rohrs; Mr. and Mrs M. W. Billings and family; Wm. Buchholz, wife and family; Mr. and Mrs. James Shaver; Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Brooks and family; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Miller; Mr and Mrs. E. Branine and family; Mr. and Mrs O. A. Griss; Mr. and Mrs W. N. Rhoads and daughter; Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Vanselous; Mr. and Mrs. P. S. Wheeler and family; Mr. and Mrs. Sank Foster; Geo Shaver and Miss Florence Shaver; G. R. Willet, Guy Wheeler, and J. W. Wymer, while others invited were unable to attend. The Durrills are always exemplary hosts, but they fairly out did themselves on the occasion of their anniversary, and from the time the first guest arrived until the last departed they were untiring in their efforts to make all comfortable and happy. Mrs. Durrill wore for the occasion, her reception dress of 15 years ago, and her intimate friends insisted that she did not look a day older than she did on that other happy occasion. The dinner, as are all Durrill dinners, was par excellence, and she tables fairly groaned with their weight of good things, and it is only necessary to glance at the list of guests present to believe, that they thoroughly enjoyed the repast. Mr. and Mrs. Durrill in addition to receiving the hearty congratulations of their guests, and wishes for many more wedding anniversaries were remembered by a list of substantial presents.
