The 1916 season started out okay, but Iron Tail developed pneumonia.  He traveled back to Indiana which means "Lands of the Indians" before he passed away. During the year, Joe Miller had influenza and was hospitalized. The final show was on November 11. In 1916, the show disbanded until 1924. The show reorganized and went on tour in the spring of 1925.

By 1918, none of the Wild West shows had survived.
